Today my scripture reading was Psalm 95 and I have continued to think on worship. Father God, I do indeed sing a new song to you today. Psalm 95 is my song of worship today ... Oh Father, You are worthy to be adored and worshiped. Come let me bow down in worship. Let me kneel before you, my LORD, and maker.
I am reminded this morning after reading and thinking that there can be obstacles to worship. One obstacle can be sin in my life. Lord Jesus, give me a deeper repentance and remorse for the sin in my life. Continue to keep me mindful that I must ask often for forgiveness because being in a right relationship with You is of utmost importance to my walk with You.
As I went to fill-in at the front desk today at New Hope Church (another favorite link above) I thought about how I could make my work a form of worship. I believe I am worshiping God when I am serving others. So today, I was mindful of ways I could serve others.
I am still continuing to wait on God in the area of a job and in the meantime I am continuing with my education at Crown College. In fact, I will be taking the first of 3 PRAXIS tests this Saturday. I am studying hard and desire to do my best. I am trusting God to be with me during this time and I am praying ..."if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who will give it liberally."
I'll keep you posted....In His Arms, Beth

As I took a morning walk with my friend, Cheryl we talked a bit more about worship. I was reminded of the verse in Romans 12:1 "Therefore, I urge you, brothers in view of God's mercy , to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship." I have this verse placed on my fridge as a reminder that I can even worship God by taking care of my body through healthy food choices and of course morning walks with Cheryl and "boot camp" with Lisa. I thought about who do I love, and what do I love. for the greatest commandment is to love the Lord with everything in me (Deuteronomy 6:4). I remember that from yesterday's message that anything that gives me joy I will worship so ......
I want to worship what I most love and honor and adore. It is You, Lord Jesus and the worship of You that brings me joy. Thank you for wonderful times of worship!
After a morning exercise routine I am often found either at my kitchen table or on my outside patio meeting with the Lord complete with my journal, pen, Bible, a cup of coffee and sometimes a Bible Study. Right now I am working through Pilgrimage of the Heart by Catherine Martin. Check it out on the Quiet Time Ministries link. Because I started this blog just yesterday my thought was do I, should I, type rather than hand write in my journal? I decided to do both today.
As I began to look at the flowers in our garden I thought more about worship. One way I worship you Father is to thank you. I thanked you for being our creator God and for all the flowers, trees, birds and even the butterfly I enjoyed this morning. I also thanked you Father for you always remember me. I thanked you because you have engraved me on the palm of your hands and I thanked you for the confidence I have that you never fail me as I quietly seek you and wait on you.
Currently I am in the Father's waiting room. I have many applications filled in and turned in and I am waiting for His provision for a job for me. Sometimes, I get impatient while waiting and at other times I feel peaceful.
Today for my children I pray You, Father God will help Lisa, Matt, Carrie, Jacob, Adam, Renee, Kelley, Josh, and Ashley to trust in you will all their hearts. In all their ways may you be acknowledged and therefore their paths will be made straight. James 1:5 More to come...

evening pages
Because of my faith and even sometimes lack of faith in God I have journaled since 1980. Every since I can remember I have been a writer. My writing though, outside of a few articles for various newsletters has never been published. Now, I have the opportunity to be read by many or few and I look forward to the conversations through writing. May you always feel free to respond in any way to my writings.
Today, I was touched and moved to action through the words of Pastor Bryan from John 2:23-24 regarding worship. Father God, I have learned that as I seek you I must be a true worshiper. I desire to worship you in spirit and in truth.
