After writing last night I turned on our TV due to the urging of my daughter and saw this unbelievable scene of the collapse of a bridge. All of a sudden my lack of a job or knowing what His plans are for me were no longer important. I received the following e-mail from another one of my friends and I pass this on to you today so you too may bring these requests before the Lord. Shortly after 6:00 pm today the 35W freeway bridge over the Mississippi River (near downtown Minneapolis during rush hour) has collapsed completely into the river.
Although details are yet to come in, we are asking you to pray earnestly for this immediate need in our city.
Pray for fire and rescue to be able to reach those in need. Pray for the injured as they await rescue.
Pray for protection for those involved in trying to rescue people in difficult circumstances, including debris and heat.
Pray for the families of those who have been caught in this collapse.
Pray for the Lord's peace for those involved, especially the injured people needing medical attention.
This is an appeal for you to pass this prayer alert to all you know that would pray for this immediate situation.Let's serve our community as intercessors before the Throne of God on their behalf. Thank you for praying.
